Adolescencia y violencia sexual facilitada por la tecnología: una revisión sistemática de revisiones

Resumen

El uso cada vez más extendido de las tecnologías digitales ha transformado las formas de interacción interpersonal y sexual entre adolescentes y jóvenes. En este contexto, han emergido nuevas formas de violencia sexual facilitadas por la tecnología, como el acoso y el abuso sexual basado en imágenes. Estos fenómenos han adquirido una creciente relevancia académica y social, afectando significativamente a la población adolescente y contribuyendo a la reproducción de la desigualdad estructural de género en los entornos digitales. Este estudio presenta una revisión sistemática de revisiones, con el objetivo de observar cómo se ha abordado la violencia sexual facilitada por la tecnología, el acoso y abuso sexual basado en imágenes en la población adolescente y joven adulta en publicaciones recientes. Se analizaron 15 revisiones (revisiones sistemáticas y scoping reviews), publicadas entre 2020 y 2025, que en conjunto analizaron 648 estudios. Los hallazgos confirman una heterogeneidad conceptual de la violencia sexual facilitada por la tecnología. Se confirman elevadas tasas de prevalencia de envío, recepción y reenvío no consentido de contenido sexual, siendo las chicas las principales víctimas de coerción, estigma social y graves consecuencias psicosociales. Los resultados resaltan la normalización de la violencia sexual facilitada por la tecnología. Se concluye que es esencial reconceptualizar los comportamientos de sexting cómo acoso y abuso sexual basado en imágenes. También se resalta la necesidad urgente de ofrecer al colectivo adolescentes y jóvenes una educación sexual integral, así como políticas adaptadas al entorno digital.
