Abstract

In this paper a reasessment of the thesis dating the sculpture of the Galician Iron Age after the time of the Roman conquest is made. Based on the stratigraphic data obtained in the Castro da Forca (Pontevedra) the author concludes that while persisting in Roman times, some of the stone decoration and sculptures found in the hill forts have a prerroman origin.
