Abstract

Social crisis and labour clain in the Restoration Spain: the general strike in August, 1917, in Ourense.
In this article it's done a local analysis, centred on the city of Ourense, of a sign about the Restoration crisis like is the general strike in August, 1917. After an aproximation to the wide juncture -in a key period for the organizated working class movement development in the Spanish history- it's analysed the economical, social and labour situation ofthe working in Ourense, making a detailed statement of the protest actions carried forward through the city lower classes, paying special attention to the strike week, from 13 to 18 in August.
