Población y estructura urbana en la ciudad de Ourense

Abstract

Actually the areas that show a larger demographic growth are there located on urban suburbs. Residential districts in the inner city still concentrate most part of our cities inhabitants but their demographic structure point out their decline. In the CBD the land reflects a great competence of uses and population is expeled, while the historie core suffers a continuous process of degradation. In this complex puzzle the redistribution of urban population is nowadays one of the most important demographic phenomenon. In this paper is analyzed the demographic and socioprofessional differentiation of Ourense's districts trying to point out with this study the key of population redistribution in this city.
