Abstract

J.A.P.A. represent the alternative of social Catholicism to political radicalization of Ourense's youth in the middle of thirties. Their proposals claiming a new way of acting in politics, will lead them to confront, from their very begining, to the remaining residuals of tradictional conservadurism, as yet a powerful force in the province. Successives crisis that a re suffered by the organization, reflect this struggle in which local interests get mixtured w ith great debats of national politics up to the outbreak of civil war
