"La epidemia gripal de 1918 en Ourense"

Abstract

An study about the influenza epidemic in 1918 at Ourense, foccussing primarly on the social and sanitary organization given by the Ourense's society. lt was one of the most important demographic and sociosanitary crisis in the first one third of twentieth century at Ourense. A brief biographic approach to sorne of the professiona Is involved and a history about the articulation of the Ourense's Physicians college in this period is made. One little hospital (Pabellon Sanitario de Mariñamanasa) was edificated sorne years later in arder to prevent future hospitalizations in infectious epidemic crisis.
