O sangue e a rúa. A exaltación da violencia no Ourense republicano

Abstract

In this article an approach to the phenomenon of political violence in Ourense during the Second Republic is carried out from a structural poit of view rather than a sequencial analysis of cases. First of ali, the subjet matter of our research is conceptually defined and then, we go on to examine the position of the different g roups in the local political spectrum on the use of violence in the service of a particular political strategy. We also analyse the changes that are going to take place in that political strategy as the republican experience moves forward.
Finally, the real incidence of violence cult in Ourense is analysed together with the keys far the increase in the use of violence by the most reactionary right parties.
