Abstract

Through the presentation of a series of texts, the paper tries to prove not only that St. Martin's views were close to those defended by the Priscillianists at the time, but also that he could have been easily taken for a Priscillianist if he had lived somewhere else. Besides, the paper includes a brief historical study of the origins and the doctrine of Priscillianism, which will help the reader to understand the paper's final conclusions.
