Abstract

Ares is with Athena the god Greek of the war; furthermore Ares symbolizes and is the war and all that represents: death, pain, destruction, etc. He defends the free war, is aggressive, well- built, impetuous, stubborn and very vengeful. His victory is always fictitious and destroys everybody, friends or enemies without distinction. and only Aphrodite can love his cruelty and his bragging. Is an unpopular divinity (even with the other divinities), without hardly worship, except in Thrace where he came from
