Abstract

This article tries to analyse dionysiac cups with love scenes performing by Dionysos and Ariadne inside red-figured vase-painting production. Despite of being a scarce amount of pieces, they worth more attention because they depict Ariadne in so far as Dionysos’ wife. Likewise, it is necessary to study these vases in relation with the symposial context which could influence the iconographical election.
