Abstract

The fascist massacre of the family Ramos Ferreiro in Galicia (1936) is a story
of historical research trying to rebuild the history of the massacre of the family Ramos Ferreiro. This tragic event occurred at the beginning of the Spanish Civil War in the Galician village of As Pontes - known then by its Castilian name Puentes de García Rodriguez-, in Galicia (Spain). The work, elaborated from the rescue of oral testimonies and diverse documentary sources by the Cuban historian Sergio Guerra Vilaboy, comes out the insides of that tragedy, inserted and tied to the facts of the Spanish Civil War. The paper is a contribution to the memory of all those that were assassinated by the fascism, and a kind of commemoration of the seventy anniversary of the beginning of that fight that shocked mankind.
