Abstract

The Civil War, one of the events of greatest importance and most bitter remembrance of the Spanish history draws the interest of historians, politologists, journalists and literati 70 years after. This renewed interest is logically due to the veil of silence fallen over the issue, as a response to the fear of accusations, the terror that drowned the voices and the stories. The silent remembrance has been inside the Spanish people’s mind, as part of their essential historical memory. That is why literature, considered the mirror an epoch, has tried as well to recover it in numerous shortstories, novels, and tales; works of fiction, indeed, but all have very much in common with stories told by friends and colleagues of the author of this book. Read the books and you will discover other hundred stories.
