La industria del mueble y su relación con el desarrollo territorial en Galicia. El caso del municipio de Lourenzá.

Abstract

In this work it appears as a traditional activity as the industry of the wood can manage to originate on some spaces processes of local development. In I make concrete the analysis it centres on the Galician community, territory with important forest surfaces, and where there have appeared examples of municipalities that have could take advantage of the nearness of the raw material, at least in the origin of the process, for the development of an out-standing industrial activity. Though this presence of raw material is not today so important as in the past, being any more other significant elements as the presence of enterprising businessmen. To verify this situation the example that takes is Lourenzá’s locality, municipality of the province of Lugo where important dynamics related to the industry have been obtained transfor of the wood, in I make concrete with the subsector of the furniture.
