Abstract

This article is based on a sight around Cáceres during 19th century, analyzing some of the interventions which changed it. For that purpose some issues have been studied: urban infrastructures, road and place network as well as architectural heritage. An itinerary from the legacy city to the current one, going trough the non executed projects which created an utopia. That designed city could have been a real step forward to the modern age.
