La intensa movilidad de la comarca del Bajo Miño y sus destinos (1600-1850)

Abstract

This study focuses on a preferential way in the funereal acts for absent, which complement each other with matrimonial licenses and a wide volume of post-mortem inventories. The aim is to measure the impact and the modality of the migrations in one area of intense mobility derived from an early demographic saturation. The fixation of the destinations, the marital status of the absent ones in the big migratory phases, the age of the participants, the changes of the mobility and the seasonal behaviors in the places of origin of the marriages and conceptions help to understand the complexity of the mobility in our area. Together with these common elements we find other specifics that help to enrich the complex panorama of the Galician migrations.
