La inmigración española ante la emancipación venezolana

Abstract

This article examines the role played by Spanish immigrants in the wars of independence in Venezuela. After analyzing their presence in Venezuelan society on the eve of independence, detailing their regional origins and social position, their attitude and behavior approaches to the developments from the Supreme Council of 1810 to transform the conflict with the emergence of Spanish professional army in 1815.
