Ourense’s lordship and Louredo castle between lands of Búbal and Limia (X-XII centuries)

Abstract

In Xth century, the King gives Ourense’s Church a lordship around the town, which was enlarged in 1133. The work study its borders, and also Louredo’s castle ones between Xth and XIIth centuries. It studies also the changes of territorial administration on Bubal and Limia lands by those centuries, linked to political transformations that may explain them: Norman attacks about 1000, Kingdom’s reorganization by Garcia of Galicia, and the birth of the Kingdom of Portugal
