Global communication in the Mexican 68. The case of the spanish newspaper ABC

The main purpose of this article is to try to analyze the communication strategy that the Spanish newspaper ABC undertook to report on the reality of the Mexican student movement of 1968. This experience is inserted into the global protest logic during that year shook the world. It was characterized by its deep rejection of the authoritarian government of Díaz Ordaz, raising the genesis of a process that sought to transform the political life of the country. Starting from the editorial line of the conservative newspaper and strongly linked to the official Francoist discourse, we intended to make visible what were the main communicative approaches used to narrate the days of student agitation in Mexico.
