Abstract

Persecution during the militar coup d’etait forced to a republican exodus beyond spanish borders. Latin American nations, which were the most recurrent destinations to migrations since the fin de siècle to the first third of the 20th century behave unevenly. In this article we will deepen in two particular cases: argentinan protectionism, immeserd in an infomous decade, that promoted some entrance restrictions to the country never seen before; and the openess cardenism of the mexican republic, kwown for its humanitarian labor of reception of exile, also promoted by a series of reasons of national interest.
