For centuries the production of grinding stones became a social necessity that facilitated the pressing of different essential food products for society of the time. For this reason, the search for those places where the essential parts for the proper functioning of the mills could be extracted was essential. Taking the Carchuna (Motril, Granada) grinding stone quarry as a reference, this research study aims to achieve its protection, conservation and dissemination through the enhancement, thus breaking with an incomprehensible and absolute social and institutional forgetfulness.
