Abstract

At the beginning of the year 1945, an Intelligence target it was developed in order to capture goods and assets looted by Germany during the war, located in and through neutral countries, as well as cut-out any Nazi clandestine organization conceived for the post-war period. At the same time, the British Special Operations Executive (SOE) was in a process of change and adaptation, affecting the continuity as a secret service with bylaws. In February 1945, the SOE promoted a mission in Switzerland, which combined clandestine action and intelligence gathering, coordinated with the Secret Intelligence Services (SIS). His mission was the infiltration and investigation of certain people “black market” to Switzerland, controlled by Germans through Swiss connections. The plot showed connections about freedom Jews from Nazi camps for ransoms. This study reviews the rol played by Jean-Marie Musy in the supposed network, as well as the objectives and results of the operation and, finally, the opportunity and convenience. The investigation has resorted to the comparative analysis of bibliographic sources and the examination of archival documents, belonging to the British and American national archives.
