This article approaches to the diplomatic ties between Cuba and Spain in a context initially marked by specific and positive events for the improvement of relations between both countries, such as the Commercial Treaty and the upgrading of the level of their headquartes to Embassies. It also researches the impact on these ties of the turbulent sociopolitical and economic events that affected both nations in the following decade.
