“LOS OCHENTA EN SOLEDAD”: ¿GÓNGORA EN LA FRONTERA POÉTICA DE LUIS GARCÍA MONTERO?

Abstract

The work analyzes Luis García Montero’s poetical creation as parody of our classic tradition, made concrete in the poem “Los ochenta en soledad” (of the book Rimado de ciudad, gathered in Además, 1994) as poetical parodic exercise of the “Dedicatoria” of the Luis de Góngora’s Primera soledad. The study offers one analysis of the formal and structural aspects (context, topic, personage, genre, structure, poetical language, times and voices, metrics) of “Los ochenta en soledad”, realized from a comparative point of view with the “Dedicatoria” of the Góngora’s Primera soledad, and a suggestion on the meaning of the above mentioned poetical parodic exercise in Luis García Montero’s poetry
