Abstract

Taking into account literary works such as James Joyce’s Ulysses and virginia Woolf’s article “The Cinema”, Sally Potter’s film Yes is analysed here paying particular attention to sensuality and its emotional and cognoscitive effects on the audience. Sally Potter’s work is considered the elaboration of a micro-story as artistic and affective reaction to the 9/11 macro-event. The focus of this article is phenomenological and ethical.
