Abstract

The following article tries to make an approach to literary creations for children and young people in present day Cuba. Besides reviewing the context in which today's artistic scope moves (indebted to the island's history, culture and previous efforts) it is our intention to highlight some of the authors who have found favour within a faithful public. Thus we offer some stylistic and thematic profiles of some of the best junior authors in recent years, providing a general overview of the
passages and voices that contribute to the published panorama of Cuba.
