Abstract

This article reports selected results from Web searching about different versions of the novel El ingenioso Hidalgo Don Quijote de la Mancha by Cervantes for children in Germany. Different formats of this novel have been selected, from the traditional format to theatre, comic, cartoons, games, music in order to show how the reception of the novel has developed among young German readers. We offer a general overview of the various ways in which this work has been presented to young German readers from the first versions from the beginning of XX century to nowadays.
