In this article we come close to the medieval legend of Prester John in different works into the children and young people's literature. From his medieval origin, the fable of the rex et sacerdos evolves through the time and it is adapted to the context in each period until to reach the present, where It finds shelter In the literature written to younger people. With the purpose of determining the new features of the myth, we have selected several modern works, related to different genres and literary tradition.
