Presencia del humor en la literatura de Roald Dahl
Keywords:

The purpose of this article is to present an analysis of the presence of subversive humour in children's literature written by the Welsh author Roald Dahl. Through his works the writer makes a satire of society and politics ofthe anglosaxon world. He also rewrites the fairy tales, making parodies of classic characters such as Cinderella or Red Riding Hood, giving them qualities completely opposite to those possessed in the original version. Absurd and nonsense, jokes and wordplays are the basis of a great amount of episodes which take place in his narrative, and also those jokes referred to dirtiness and body functions which connect in such a great way with children's sense of humour. We are dealing with a series of comic elements which are present in most of his works for children and constitute an identity label which makes him an attractive and easily recognizable writer for his readers.
