La aportación decisiva de Carlos Casares a la literatura infantil y juvenil (lij)

Abstract

The present paper focuses on Carlos Casares Mouriño's writing trajectory. Casares is a Galician writer who has currently become a classic reference within the Galician literary Polysystem thanks to his socio-political and cultural activity. His main works will be analysed, paying special attention to the opportunity offered by some of them which have helped to identify new trends and tendencies for the Galician Children and Young Adults Literature. Some identity features incorporated into most of his works are also studied in detail. Finally, a comparison is established between the writer and other classic authors within Universal Literature such as Lewis Carroll.
