Abstract

Kirmen Uribe is one of the Basque literature's main writers and even though he has written the greatest part of his books for children and young people, he is not known as Children's Literature writer. Uribe's literature evolution ¡is very rich, including a lot of styles and genres, due to his cosmopolitan view of literature, a postmodernist view. The Children's and Young People's Literature of Kirmen Uribe, in which humour plays an important role, intends you to read further than you can see, find to be make you a reader, but at the same time it expect you to know more things about the world, to take responsibility for our society, for people. In this paper you will have a chance to know about Kirmen Uribe's work, especially his Children's and Young People's literature, and the importance it has in his overall work, because his literature for adults has been developed starting from his works for children and teenagers.
