Abstract

High fantasy is a literary genre with an important symbolic and mythological component, which makes us believe that the theoretical proposals of Gilbert Durand in his book, The Anthropological Structures of the Imagination, could be a good analytical model for this kind of literary works. In this article we offer an analysis of the main characters in Memorias de ldhún by Laura Gallego as a case study that allows us to prove the model's validity.
