Abstract

In this paper, we try to analyze a minimum unit of the work of Jordi Sierra ¡ Fabra to see what could be the reasons that support his great success among both the public and from the critics, of this catalonian writer. Therefore, we have focused our attention on four novels published in the nineties (Strawberry Fields, The boy who lived in the stars, We will never be rock stars and The Ballad of Century XXI) but which are very prevalent nowadays since its reading is an ongoing exercise, especially in schools and high schools. Thus, we have studied the interest of these novels from a literary point of view -comparing them with some of the main features of the Children's Literature-, as well as from the point of view of the teacher -analyzing how the work of Sierra ¡ Fabra meets the general principles of Secondary Education-.
