Children's literature definition from the didactics of language and literature paradigm

The present paper gives a children's literature definition in order to adapt it to the needing of modern research in dis area. To do so | have checked the bibliography about this subject in Spanish and English and | suggest some solutions to the problems that supposes for the concept. | try to focus, specially, on the boundaries of the area, very often oversized. In my opinion is important to distinguish between the works to be included in a children's literature definition and the works that researchers must or can analyse with the same methodology.
