"Educating sensitivity": introduction to children's literature
Keywords:
Children's poetry, collections, classic poets, Gloria Fuertes, poetry at schoolAbstract
Good poetry treasures a particular sensitivity, a taste for the words, simple and easy rhythms that make the child moves into that special world of poetic harmony. Writing poetry for children, and do so carefully, harmonious, without falling into rubble, without being condescending and without compromising the quality of poetry, is difficult. There are two major types of poetry, traditional and poetry by author. Undoubtedly Gloria Fuertes is the driving force of poetry in our country. A lot of Spanish and Latin-American poets are writing for children nowadays. Today several interesting collections of poetry for children are edited but poetry for children is still considered a minority gender. Poetry should be used in classrooms in a fluid form, though not all teachers know how to do it. Collections of poems for children handle various issues and topics, from animals to childhood itself, not to mention the influence of traditional poetry. There's a lot of interest in the formative aspect of poetry.
