Albums and illustrated books for children have begun to approach with naturality the death as a subject.
Over the last years it has been published a significant (though not large) amount of children's literary works that are capable of counteracting the psychological stress and anxiety caused on the young reader by the loss of a beloved being, or by the awareness of our own finitude. In this paper we have discussed 57 of these works, paying particular attention to the resources used by the authors when it comes to provide the child with an optimistic message, or at least not so dark one, about the end of the life. To sum up, 57 albums and ¡llustrated books that could serve to demystify the fact of death.
