The subject of this article is to characterize children's book series as a special gender of children's book literature from different points of view. After a short overview of the current situation | try to give a definition delimiting the subject from the comic strip series (Mafalda by Quino). The article focuses specially on homogeneity, and discusses the concepts of classical children's books and pragmatic issues as popularity and translation in a global context, but also particularly into the German language. The body of the research specializes in series from Spanish-speaking countries as Spain and Chile (Celia from Elena Fortún, Papelucho by Marcela Paz and Manolito Gafotas by Elvira Lindo) and France (Le Petit Nicolas by René Goscinny and Jean-Jacques Sempeé).
