St Teresa presented to young readers: analysis of six adaptations
Keywords:
children's literature, adaptations, Saint Teresa of AvilaAbstract
In recent years an attempt to introduce great world literary writers to young audiences has been achieved by means of adaptations. Thus, children have access to classical authors and their works.
Numerous books for children about St. Teresa of Avila have been published during the commemoration of the fifth centenary of her birth in 2015. This paper studies six adaptations to determine ¡f they are mere hagiographies or if they gather parameters of literary quality.
