Abstract

The aim of this article is to suggest 100 books in order to develop a mobile and coeducational children's library. This proposal is supported and justified from a theoretical framework that presents three aspects: children's literature, the significance of libraries and gender. So as to select the tittles of the moving library three tools have been generated. The first tool is made up of 18 items which are used to evaluate the literature quality of the works. The other two tools are focused in gender. The purpose of the research is to determine which the main aspects of the right gender treatment are. For this reason a search of over 300 books has been done, to lastly get a proposal of a hundred of them.
Additionally, ltsaspeko Bihotzak (IBBY) children's coeducational library has been observed in detail and the designer Miren Guillo has been interviewed.
