Enseñando identidad nacional en el Ecuador

Abstract

This essay deals about how the National Building Project and it´s builders have chosen Education in order to construct national identity. Specially, I will be focused on which are the elements on what History, Geography and Civic text books in Ecuador emphasize, trying to transmit a particular nationality. So on, it is important to study the way through which these textbooks of basic Education have formed national identity confronting their own country to neighbourhoods, for instance, Perú and Colombia. In sum, governments in northandine context, have taken Education as an instrument for the National Building Project. For this research I have used, as original resources, actual text books to find out these paths of the National Building Project. Besides, I will study which is the Ecuadorian identity that the education wants to transmit.
