Abstract

The Bologna process and related educational reforms are current key aspects in the frame of archeology studies in Spain within the context of the European Higher Education Area (ehae). In this paper we analyze the impact of the Bologna process in shaping the present courses with special attention to the case of Galicia. At first we will review the situation prior to the start of the reform, and we go into the changes in the professional context of archeology and the adequacy of the capacities in this context, also from an heritage enhancement perspective. Finally we present an assessment of impact of these changes for the future of the discipline, especially within the academic frame.
