Abstract

This paper presents some results about teacher training of Bilingual Programs in one Community of Spain. The selection of participants was carried out according to a stratified sampling. The qualitative research methodology uses the open interview as a tool to collect the information. The main results show that more than a third of teachers have not attended to any course on bilingual education, there is no training aimed to improve and update the English language of teachers and, in relation to continuing training, more practical training, a better selection of formers and a greater supervision of the tasks carried out are required.
