This paper aims to provide data on the effectiveness of social capital networks in the high school of the Valencian Community, providing data on the dimensions involved in the networks and their impact on educational innovation. For this purpose, we have collected information from 71 centers distributed proportionally throughout the Valencian Community to identify the contribution of each of the dimensions related to social networks on educational innovation, observing the differences between public and private centers and the effectiveness of these networks. It can be seen that there are differences in the degree of innovation between public and private high school establishments, that only the rules and values have an impact on innovation and the size of the center does not directly affect the innovation level of this one.
Finally, the work shows that the time spent on network relationships, their intensity and frequency do not have the effects we could expect, but it is the confidence and reputation dimension that has the greatest impact to promote the transmission of knowledge and therefore the generation of social capital.
