Abstract

Conceptions about learning and training influence the configuration of beliefs and perceptions about opportunities, training preferences and the construction of professional knowledge, which explicitly and tacitly conditions the performance of work tasks. A greater understanding of how one learns leads to the acquisition of more profuse learning, consequently, the analysis of conceptions cannot be ignored in the research activity. The concept of Learning Ecologies encompasses conceptions in their intrinsic dimension; hence it has been the framework chosen to support this research. Specifically, the conceptions about the training of 44 education inspectors in Galicia are analyzed, using a quantitative methodological approach, articulated through a questionnaire. The items were quantified using a Likert scale, highlighting the statements for their high scores: "It is necessary to update the training offer" and "Inspectors must make an effort to update to take advantage of the possibilities of ICT". Finally, in the section related to the discussion and conclusions, the training opportunities for education inspectors are analyzed, the relevance of the experience and peer learning, as well as the contribution of technological resources.
