Abstract

Don Álvaro de Luna, condestable de Castilla, is a good example of the political drama of historical content that opens in the last years of the I Carlist War. Its author, the Valencian José María Bonilla, expresses in it his liberal position from an aesthetics, romanticism, whose exalted theatricality is analysed in these pages.
