The representation of Spanish and English national identities in the theatre of the early seventeenth century

Abstract

This paper explores the plays performed in the 1620’s in Spain and England from a comparative perspective. The objective is to demonstrate how the Anglo-Spanish relations had influence on the literature of the period.
