La técnica reatratística de Quevedo: El chitón de las tarabillas

Abstract

El Chitón de las tarabillas, work written by Quevedo in 1630 to defend the economic policy of Felipe IV, is much more than a mere libel or a pure and simple work of encomiastic character. Beyond political or historical value, when Quevedo writes, whatever genre he chouses, he makes literature; and very few occasions the prose by Quevedo appears so submitted as in this work to a similar condensation process of extreme conceptism, to the constant resource to the metaphorical expression and to the original linguistic creation. All these aspects are analyzed with particular detail in this work.
