EXAMEN DE METÁFORAS

Abstract

This essay tries to analyse the important role played by metaphor in the Spanish modern poetry, especially in the group of poets known as “Generación del 27”. We consider that the development in the use of this poetic instrument means the strong point of these writers: they abandoned a kind of literature that looked for purity and independence in art, and all of them started to write an impure poetry worried about social and historical circumstances.
