Abstract

We propose in this article to analyze the ideological procedures in the so called trilogy of Juan Benet’s Región, work constituted by three novels based on the experiences of the generation of Spanish postwar around the problem of the history of the recent past, especially of the civil war and the Franco’s regime. Volverás a Región (1967), Una meditación (1969) and Un viaje de invierno (1972) are characterized for being inside the same condensed space of Región, which not only acts as backdrop but it wraps and determines his prominent figures, and it is related intimately to the environment of ruin and of existing desolation, as well as to the remembering consciousness.
