Abstract

The aim of this paper is to present a read of La Dorotea, one of the latest books of Lope de Vega, leaving apart the biographical approachs and the idea of the text only as a continuation of Celestina. Thus, we intend to analyze in these pages another ways of reading by which we can include La Dorotea in the canon of the spanish baroque literature. In this way this work analyses how La Dorotea builds its own limits in the tension between traditional literary genres as urban comedies or novellas.
