Abstract

This article offers an overview of the various language versions of Walter Benjamin's epic work Das Passagen-Werk (The Arcades Project) and draws a number of conclusions in relation to the theory and practice of translation and to Benjamin's own writings on the subject, notably 'The Task of the Translator'
